Funnel builder free trial review (2026)

Choose the option that matches the charge you want to avoid: a plan that stays free, a trial with no credit card, or a refund after you pay.

Quick answer

I would choose Systeme.io if the account has to stay free. I would choose ElasticFunnels for paid traffic if I want to start without a credit card and get the first subscription fee back when I cancel in time. I would choose ClickFunnels, Kartra, or Kajabi if a longer money-back guarantee matters more than starting without a card.

See ElasticFunnels pricing. The full table is on the pricing page for this comparison.

A funnel trial is supposed to let you build before you pay. What breaks that is a credit card required at signup, a usage fee during the trial, or a subscription that starts unless you cancel.

Each detail below comes from that vendor's pricing page, terms, or refund policy. The full table, including both GoHighLevel signups, is on the pricing page.

What works

  • You can sign up for Systeme.io, Unbounce, and ElasticFunnels without a credit card.
  • ClickFunnels, Kartra, Kajabi, and ElasticFunnels refund a new paid subscription within a set window.
  • GoHighLevel says phone and third-party fees can be charged during the trial, so you can see that cost before you begin.

What to watch

  • Kartra asks for a credit card before it creates the account, so the free days start with a card already saved.
  • GoHighLevel charges the subscription unless you cancel, and phone or third-party fees can be charged while the trial is still running.
  • Once Leadpages, Unbounce, or a paid Systeme.io plan has billed you, that payment is not refunded.
  • Few independent reviews of the ElasticFunnels trial and refund exist yet. It has been around since 2023, so outsiders have had less time to review it. You can still build pages, test two versions on one URL, and use the checkout during the trial.

The reviews, weighed up

I would trust a refund policy the vendor has published over a longer free trial. ClickFunnels, Kartra, and Kajabi each offer about a month. ElasticFunnels offers a shorter refund window, and it also lets you start without a credit card. Systeme.io has no time limit, as long as you stay on the free plan.

I would not enter a credit card for Kartra until I was sure I wanted the account, because Kartra creates the account only after the card is saved. On GoHighLevel I would expect the subscription to start unless I cancel, and I would expect phone and third-party fees during the trial.

What these trials cost

Each cell comes from that vendor's pricing page or terms. The sections below the table explain details a single number cannot.

This comparison has no single subscription price. Each tool's plans are in its own pricing guide, linked from the comparison table. What matters here is the part those guides can hide: whether a credit card is required, when billing starts, and whether the first payment is refundable.

Changelog

  • 18 October 2026. First edition, from vendor pricing pages, terms, and refund policies.
