What each funnel trial actually costs

The free period, the card, and the refund, for eight funnel tools.

By Marta Ovalle, reviewed by Funnel Critic Editorial. Updated 2026-10-23.

You want to build a funnel before a subscription starts. You also want to know which charges can still show up on the bill while the trial is open.

The table shows the trial length, whether you need a card to start, whether a free plan exists, the refund window, and whether a charge can post before the subscription starts.

If you run paid traffic and you want a trial with no card, plus your first payment back if you cancel in time, see ElasticFunnels pricing.

Eight tools side by side

Each cell comes from that vendor's pricing page or terms. The sections below the table explain details a single number cannot.

GoHighLevel free trial

The GoHighLevel pricing page offers a 14-day free trial on the tier you choose. You get that tier's features, so you can set up the account, build funnels, and test automations before the subscription starts. The same page says billing begins automatically when any free trial ends unless you cancel, and usage-based fees for phone service or third-party tools may apply while the trial is still open.

There is also a signup that lasts 30 days. That page says a charge is processed to the card on file after 30 days, unless you cancel before the trial ends. The GoHighLevel pricing breakdown has the plan limits. The GoHighLevel review explains who the platform is for.

ClickFunnels free trial and the 30-day guarantee

ClickFunnels' terms say a free trial starts at registration and lasts for the period the website shows at that moment. The current signup path is a 7-day flow. You can open it on the Launch monthly signup page.

The guarantee is a separate promise from that signup length. The pricing page offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the account can be canceled in that window without a penalty or fee. ClickFunnels plan limits are in the pricing guide. That window is longer than the first-payment refund on ElasticFunnels. It covers what happens after you have already been charged.

Kartra free trial, the card, and the guarantee

Kartra creates the account only after a credit card is on file. The terms say payment information must be on file before the account is created, including when the account starts as a trial.

The plans page lists 14 days free and a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can cancel at any time. Kartra tier limits are in the pricing guide.

Leadpages refund policy after the 7-day trial

The Leadpages FAQ offers a 7-day free trial with full access to the Grow plan. It also says there is no permanent free plan. After the trial, the same FAQ says subscription payments are not refunded. Canceling stops future renewals.

A year paid up front is a subscription payment, so that FAQ line covers it. The current charge is non-refundable. The next renewal does not go out if you cancel. Plan details are in Leadpages billing terms. If that policy is why you would leave, start with Leadpages alternatives.

Systeme.io, Unbounce, and Kajabi

Systeme.io is the option that skips a trial time limit. The pricing page says the free plan never expires, and it starts with no credit card. The terms say subscription plans are not refundable. Use the free plan to learn the builder. A paid monthly subscription counts as a purchase. The Systeme.io plan ladder lists the paid steps.

Unbounce's pricing page gives 14 days on the plan you choose, with no credit card, and you are not charged during the trial. The terms say subscription fees billed in advance are strictly non-refundable. The Unbounce pricing guide has the plan steps.

On Kajabi's pricing page you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel, and every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee. The Kajabi pricing guide has the plan steps.

A no-card trial that also returns the first payment

ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that run paid traffic. Pages, same-URL split tests, checkout, a CRM, and attribution share one data layer.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is needed to start. Pages, funnels, and a custom domain can be set up in that window. The refund policy is a separate window: a new customer who cancels within 14 days of the first paid subscription gets that subscription fee back in full. The trial length, and the fact that no credit card is required to start, are on the pricing page.

On this page, that combination fits a paid-traffic team that wants to start without a credit card and still get the first payment back if they cancel in time. Unbounce also starts without a credit card, then keeps the fee once it bills. Systeme.io's free plan stays free with no credit card, and its paid plans are not refundable. ClickFunnels and Kajabi offer a longer money-back window. Kartra does too, and it requires a credit card before the account exists.

ElasticFunnels is newer than ClickFunnels, Kartra, and GoHighLevel. The drawback is how few independent reviews of the trial and the refund exist. Until you run real volume through it, you are largely taking the vendor's word for how the account bills after the trial. That is what you would expect from a platform that has been around since 2023. You can still build pages, test two versions on one URL, and use the checkout during the trial.

What the trial terms are worth

What you learn from the trial terms, and which charges can still show up.

What works

  • You can sign up for Systeme.io, Unbounce, and ElasticFunnels without a credit card.
  • ClickFunnels, Kartra, Kajabi, and ElasticFunnels refund a new paid subscription within a set window.
  • GoHighLevel says phone and third-party fees can be charged during the trial, so you can see that cost before you begin.

What to watch

  • Kartra asks for a credit card before it creates the account, so the free days start with a card already saved.
  • GoHighLevel charges the subscription unless you cancel, and phone or third-party fees can be charged while the trial is still running.
  • Once Leadpages, Unbounce, or a paid Systeme.io plan has billed you, that payment is not refunded.
  • Few independent reviews of the ElasticFunnels trial and refund exist yet. It has been around since 2023, so outsiders have had less time to review it. You can still build pages, test two versions on one URL, and use the checkout during the trial.

Pricing FAQ

Is there a GoHighLevel 30-day free trial?
Yes. It is a separate signup from the offer on the pricing page, described in the GoHighLevel section above. That signup charges the card on file at the end unless you cancel first.
How long is the ClickFunnels free trial in 2026?
The terms follow whatever length the site shows at registration. The signup linked in the ClickFunnels section is a week. The guarantee on the pricing page is a separate refund after you pay, and it runs for a month.
Does Kartra require a credit card for the trial?
Yes. Payment information has to be on file before the account is created, and that rule includes a trial. The plans page is where the free days and the guarantee are listed.
Can I get a Leadpages refund after annual billing?
The FAQ declines refunds on subscription payments once the trial is over. A year billed at once is one of those payments. Canceling stops the renewal. It does not send the current payment back.
Which funnel builder has a free plan with no trial limit?
Systeme.io. That plan has no end date and starts with no card. The paid plans above it are not refundable, which the Systeme.io section spells out.
