Who this visitor-based price is for
You already know the name. The real concern shows up in the weeks when the ads take off. A plan that seems reasonable at signup can get expensive once traffic arrives, because you are billed for visitors, not for sales you close.
Instapage hosts the pages and, on the higher self-serve plan, the experiments. Every plan lists unlimited published pages, unlimited conversions and unlimited contacts. What changes from one plan to the next is how many unique visitors you get. A person counts once on a given page until the tracking cookie expires after three days. After that, the same person can count again. Opening a second page during the same visit counts as another visitor. The allowance resets when the billing cycle resets.
That suits an agency building pages for clients, and an in-house paid team that already drives enough traffic for the Create allowance or the higher one on Optimize. I would skip it for a single form, for an account that cannot risk being locked if traffic jumps, and for an offer that needs to take payment on the page.
The Instapage landing page builder
The homepage describes an AI-powered platform for landing pages, websites, forms, popups, testing, personalization and email, for marketing teams and agencies. Create, the first plan, includes the drag-and-drop builder, Instablocks, popups and sticky bars, AI content, contacts and email, and programmatic Collections. You can publish pages and capture leads on that plan.
Testing starts on the next plan. Optimize lists server-side A/B testing, dynamic text replacement, multi-step forms and scheduling. The plans page says those tests have no flicker, and that you can change the traffic split without delaying the page load. Convert is custom. It lists heatmaps, ad-to-page personalization, root-domain publishing, global elements, direct lead bypass and enterprise security.
If you need leads and you cannot risk the page going offline in a busy month, the Leadpages review covers unlimited traffic and manual A/B tests on Grow. If you want unlimited split tests on a lower plan that still limits visitors, read the Unbounce review. If you need to prove one lead page before you pay for a dedicated builder, start with the Systeme.io review. If you need to charge a card on the page, the ClickFunnels review covers a builder with checkout.
