Best ThriveCart alternatives (2026)
Switch if you need a free plan, email in the same account, or affiliates on a different checkout tier.
People stay with ThriveCart for order bumps, one-click upsells and a platform fee of zero. They leave when affiliates are only on Pro+, when the email sequence still needs another tool, or when they want an account that costs nothing to open. I would go with Systeme.io if the price is why you are leaving, and Kartra if email and a membership site need to share a login with checkout.
The two checkouts are compared in SamCart vs ThriveCart. The five tools below already have reviews on this site. Compare ThriveCart's plans if you are still deciding whether to switch.
| Tool | Best reason to switch | Free plan |
|---|---|---|
| Systeme.io | A free plan when the cart subscription is the problem | Yes |
| Kartra | Email, pages and checkout in one account | No |
| SamCart | Another hosted checkout, with bumps and affiliates on Pro | No |
| ClickFunnels | A multi-step launch in the same account as the page | No |
| Kajabi | A course library, with checkout attached to the student home | No |
Quick answer
Choose Systeme.io if you need to start for free. Choose Kartra or Kajabi if you are buying email and a course library. Choose SamCart if you want another hosted checkout and you will pay for its higher plan to get bumps and affiliates. Stay with ThriveCart Standard if the bump, the one-click upsell and a zero platform fee are what you need, and you are already willing to add Pro+ for affiliates.
Compare ThriveCart's plans if you are still deciding whether to switch checkout tools.
1. Systeme.io: best ThriveCart alternative for a free start with email and a course
Go with Systeme.io if the ThriveCart subscription, or the one-time license, is more than you want to spend before the first sale. Systeme.io has a free plan. ThriveCart's pricing announcement does not. You give up the upsell flow that long-time cart users talk about, and you get email and a course in the same account as checkout.
The free plan's limits, and what the paid plans add, are in the Systeme.io review and on Systeme.io pricing. A paid checkout makes more sense once the bump brings in more than Pro+ costs.
2. Kartra: best ThriveCart alternative when email and the membership share the checkout
Read the Kartra review if your pages, email, checkout and memberships need to live in one account. ThriveCart's paid plans are built around checkout, with Academy Starter on Standard and affiliate tools on Pro+. Those vendor pages do not present it as a tool for a weekly newsletter. If email marketing is the main focus, Kartra is the closer match. A buyer comparing the two said the monthly cost adds up when the tools stay on separate subscriptions.
Kartra's tiers are on Kartra pricing. ThriveCart vs Kartra is the head-to-head. If you might leave Kartra instead, use Kartra alternatives.
3. SamCart: best ThriveCart alternative when affiliates sit on the higher checkout plan
SamCart is the other hosted checkout reviewed here. Core includes the cart and a courses app, and it leaves order bumps and one-click upsells for Pro, along with the affiliate center. ThriveCart includes one bump and the upsell on Standard, and it leaves affiliates, dunning and extra bumps for Pro+. Choose SamCart if you will pay for the higher plan and you care that some readers say its support answers faster. Stay with ThriveCart Standard if the bump has to be on the entry plan and the platform fee on the sale has to stay at zero.
That split is in the SamCart review and on SamCart plan fees. SamCart vs ThriveCart puts both carts in one table. If SamCart's higher plan is what you are leaving, start with SamCart alternatives.
4. ClickFunnels: best ThriveCart alternative for a launch across several pages
ClickFunnels starts from the sequence of pages. ThriveCart starts from the payment page you place in front of pages you already have. Choose ClickFunnels when the follow-up and the payment page have to live in that sequence, and the bump is one step among several. Choose ThriveCart when the page already exists somewhere else and the missing piece is the offer after payment.
Limits and the trial are in the ClickFunnels review. The prices for that account are in that review and on ClickFunnels pricing.
5. Kajabi: best ThriveCart alternative when the course library is the product
Kajabi fits when the students, the community and the email are what you open every morning, and checkout is there to support them. ThriveCart's Academy Starter comes with the cart. Kajabi is built from the course outward. I would choose Kajabi when upsells are secondary and the course library is what you sell.
Plans and the support complaints are in the Kajabi review. Read it next to the Kartra review if you are choosing a course platform and the cart is secondary. Kajabi pricing lists the tiers.
How we picked
Each tool above already has a review on this site. I chose each one for a different reason someone leaves a checkout: a free plan, email under the same login, another hosted cart, a launch across several pages, or a course library. Prices stay in those reviews. The ThriveCart side comes from the vendor's pricing announcement, the campaign page, the Pro+ support article, the processor fees page, and the public threads linked below.
The rubric is in how we evaluate tools. We read long-term user reports, the vendor's documentation and the vendor's pricing pages. The monthly plans include a 30-day trial you can use yourself.
